Financial need is one of the biggest challenges facing emerging athletes. The World Cup Dreams Foundation (WCDF) exists to support, protect, and inspire these athletes by helping them overcome financial barriers. While WCDF does not raise money for individual athletes, we provide critical back-end support to help them cover their expenses.
To be considered for a WCDF grant, athletes must submit a comprehensive application demonstrating financial need. All donations go directly to WCDF—not to individual athletes. Grants are awarded only after financial need is verified through the application process.
WCDF can issue grants directly to U.S. Ski and Snowboard on behalf of athletes, which can offer benefits such as maintaining NCAA eligibility and resolving tax concerns. If the athlete’s expenses fall outside of U.S. Ski and Snowboard, WCDF may issue grants directly to the athlete.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, WCDF allows donors to potentially receive tax benefits. Contributions can also be made through donor-advised funds or trusts that require recipients to be registered nonprofits. WCDF follows all IRS regulations to ensure compliance for both donors and the organization.
Ways to Give

+ You can include a comment to honor the athlete you’re rooting for.
+ We accept payments via credit card, ACH (bank transfer), or Donorbox/Stripe. (Note: ACH transfers typically have lower or no processing fees compared to credit cards, allowing more of your donation to directly support the athletes.)
