The World Cup Dreams Foundation is honored to support the 34 On The Rise grant recipients for the 2022/2023 season. The On The Rise grant will inspire our youngest dreamers, who have demonstrated potential and are at the top of their age class in the nation, exemplifying the ability to reach the next level of elite racing. The grant money given to these athletes is used to help pay for season expenses and competition. WCDF's goal in selecting these athletes is to propel them to achieve their World Cup Dream. The ARCO Grant will be positioned under the WCDF umbrella to provide merit and needs based support to the nation’s best U16 athletes. ARCO (carving in Italian) is engineered by Olympian River Radamus, who believes that systemic change within ski racing does not stop at grant giving, but more on education on how to become successful. River learned at a young age through his family’s philosophy that forming habits to take advantage of your local mountain’s operating hours to work on your skiing outside of the designated training times is the recipe to turning yourself into the ski racer and skier you aspire to become. This missed opportunity of skiing on your own after training times is the cultural shift that the ARCO Grant hopes to change.
