My name is Sierra Strecker and I am a passionate Nordic cross country skier racing for the Tahoe Endurance Competitive Team in the U18 category. I am from Truckee, California and from a young age I’ve always been active; playing soccer, running, downhill skiing, or any other outside activity. I fell in love with Nordic skiing in middle school, and was immediately captivated by the sport's difficulty and the tight-knit community surrounding it. Since the start of my competitive journey, my enthusiasm for Nordic skiing has only grown. I have committed myself to training six days a week, balancing my rigorous training regimen with my academic commitments. Although I have the dreams of competing on the international stage like the World Cup and the Olympics, my main goal is to make a living out of skiing because it brings me so much joy and happiness.
